If you want to create your own music without making it too complicated by using a really intuitive program, Linux MultiMedia Studio is what you are looking for.

The interface is divided into a large number of windows, the Editor's being the one you should focus on the most. In this section you will find MIDI tracks, rhythms, special effects and loops, along with a series of playback controls.

In Linux MultiMedia Studio you'll also find a complete drum machine and pianola, and you can add MIDI sequences manually or using a keyboard that has a compatibility function. In addition, LADSPA effects are supported thanks to its 64-channel mixer.

Linux MultiMedia Studio supports OGG and WAV files, also supporting VST. Despite their good tolerance in terms of the amount of files, creations cannot be exported to the traditional MP3 format.
